Progress Bar in Filter Results Dashboard Gadget does not display for Epics

Using JIRA on the Cloud:

When using the Filter Results dashboard gadget, I selected the E Progress field. The progress shows correctly for any stories or enhancements where time is logged directly against. However, for an Epic (with no logged time) but stories/enhancements are summarized, this progress does not show. How do I get the summary information for an Epic to display as progress?

Epics do not roll up estimates into them, they're either done or not.

I don't know if there are apps on the cloud that enable roll-up.  I've done it a couple of times with Scriptrunner on server, and there is an Epic sum-um app for Server too, may be worth a look.
