Hi
I've got an automation rule setup to change the status of an issue type when it hit's 30 days and i've created a specific queue for this as well but it's doesn't seem to be working. The automation hasn't reflected on the expired requests. Any idea what the issue is?
Hello Ann,
I recommend you to check the following details:
- Is the JQL query you configured as the trigger returning the correct issues when you run it directly on JIRA issue navigator?
- Have you checked if the Actor configured to execute the automation (Usually, it is the Automation app user) is configured with the correct permissions to transition it?
- Is your workflow properly configured to perform the transition scheduled in the automation?
If the tips above do not help, please provide us with the results you had when performing the verifications above and the Audit Log of the Rule.
We will be waiting for your answer.
Hi Petterson,
I've got another question - The automation message i have setup keeps getting added to the request everyday.
I've added two images of the schedule i've setup and the comment options i've ticked.

Hello Ann,
the message configured in your automation rule is been added every day to the same requests even when you flag the option "Prevent Duplicates by only adding this comment once to a particular issue"?
If that's the case, I recommend you to open a support ticket with Code Barrel:

Yes, that's correct. the comment gets added in even with the "Prevent Duplicates by only adding this comment once to a particular issue" is ticked in.

Hello! I encounter the same behavior currently in Jira Cloud. Did you have feedback about this problem?
Thanks

Hi ,
I just changed the JQL. The rule runs only if it matches the issues within a particular status, and it been working fine.
Is the issue you are facing related to the comment getting added everyday?
