Project Category JQL Not Working Properly After Migration

After our recent Jira Cloud migration, JQL queries using "category" are not returning any results.

JQL: category in (ABC)

However, if we archive and unarchive a project, its issues start appearing in the query results.

is this an indexing issue? or something else.
other JQL queries are working fine.

I am not sure what might cause this behavior.  I created a support case on your behalf in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/48/PCS-416889

I would recommend following up there as our support team will likely want to investigate further to help here.

Looks like an issue after migration that Atlassian support should fix. I requested for Atlassian support assistance in this ticket. 

Do you have MOVE ticket created?
