Project deleted through app not in trash

One of our admins deleted a project via the app by mistake today. Previously when this has occurred in the browser version it appears in the trash and we can restore it from there in plenty of time. When we looked in the trash its nowhere to be seen. Is this a know issue with the app and is there a way to get back the deleted project?

Projects remain in trash for 60 days, unless they have been permanently deleted, so there may be a defect on this.  I didn't see any here:
