Hi forum,
Today we have a project where we have some tickets, i.e. Vacation, Maternity leave etc. These tickets are mixed together with all other kind of customer related tickets (not Service desk).
My question is; I want to separate these tickets and are thinking about just creating a new project. But before doing so, I would like to hear if anyone have any great tips? Is there a template that is designed for this? How do you do it?
I couldn't find anything helpful on Google.
Have a nice weekend :-)
Kind regards,
Rickie
What exactly are your "separation" requirements? That is, do you just want to be able to easily distinguish between them, create separate filtered list, etc. Or, do you need to restrict access for example.
Here is what I would suggest given data at hand....
I would not create different projects unless you feel the teams working these issues will ultimately want to change the underlying workflows to meet their specific needs. Even if that were to happen it can be dealt with by creating unique Issuetypes.
I would use Components to distinguish between the different areas. You can then set default assignee for each if desired.
