Hi Team,
In JIRA we now have NEW status as the first state to be created but it seems like it thinks New is actually In Progress. For instance, if you run release reports things in New will be recorded as In Progress. If we change NEW status in progress category to To Do, It applies for most of the workflows using this state almost 50 projects are affected.
If we change what is the impact? what will be impacted to JIRA users? Change mandatory for only one project, is there any way to changes apply to one project??
Can please help me to find an exact solution for it.
thanks in Advance.
It won't do anything your users will be worried about, other than make your data more consistent.
It is a global change though, as status are global items. If you want to do it only in some projects, you need to change their workflows to use different status. I wouldn't bother though, it's pretty clear and sensible that "new" is "to do", and I would almost certainly want to impose that on everyone.
Hello,
Go to the cog wheel -> issues -> statuses. Edit the status and choose the To Do category of the status.
