Query about E-Support Issue Type and email address

Hi,

We have a service desk project on JIRA Server where tickets are logged by sending an email to a specific address. The address is abc@domainname.net.

This was set up internally by the team, and then configured to be used within the project.

It does work and tickets are logged correctly.

However, the issue is when you want to send an email to that address from Outlook, it has a prefix of the project leads name and then the address e.g.

To: Project Lead (Jira) <abc@domainname.net>

Is there any way we can get rid of having that project lead name and default it to a more generic prefix?

Thanks.

You email originating from outlook to that abc@domain from scratch generic would require an outlook email account jiralog as outlook user name. So have outlook admin check it. Also check jira setting.
