Hello,

We wanted to know if it is possible to configure Jira in such a way that, if a user story or task goes from a sprint to the next one, the story points of subtasks of these issues are taken into account when generating the velocity and sprint reports.

Hello @Abdelaziz BENASSER

Welcome to the community.

The short answer is no.

The Jira built-in hierarchy for issues is

Epic > Generic issue > Sub-tasks

...where "Generic issue" is Stories, Bugs, Tasks, etc.

Jira is designed to base story point velocity calculations on only the issues at the Generic Issue level. Assigning Story Points to Sub-tasks is outside of the standard usage of Jira.

The concept of a sprint does not include getting partial credit for incomplete stories. If you need to indicate partial credit, you will have to create multiple copies of the story to allow for one copy to be closed in one sprint, and a new copy to go forward into the next sprint, with Story Points assigned to each accordingly.
