Questions on Easy Approval Plugin

we are planning to use your Easy approval for Jira plugin : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226973/easy-approval-for-jira?tab=support&hosting=cloud

 

It would be great if someone could clarify our queries.

  • Can we create Approval Rule on the global level and make it available for all the projects by Jira Admin ?? (I am aware that rule can be create project level)
  • Consider we have a rule created to add approvers for story issue type and when a story is created, will the approver be notified?? How will a approver know that He/she should approve a certain ticket??
  • Is there any Dashboard where approvers can find the list of tickets assigned to them for approving???
  • Is there any JQL for approvers??or knowing the status of approval.

 

Kindly suggest an answer.

Hi, @rbalamu2 !

1. I guess, that the approval process depends on process peculiarities, so it`s better to build different ones.

2. The approver will be notified when the Form is submitted. The approver will get a Jira and email notification.

3. The approvers can find the list of tickets assigned to them, but only after form submission.

4. After Approve/Reject assigned users will get an email notification about approval status.

For this case, try out Business Process Manager, developed by my team.

Hi, @rbalamu2.  This app has only 22 installs so I think it's unlikely you will be lucky enough to find a user here on the Atlassian Community who's willing to respond.

IMO, you'll have much better luck using the Email vendor or Submit a support request links found on the Atlassian Marketplace page that you shared above. 🙂

I have emailed them also submitted a support request but no luck still that's why raised a community request. Thanks for your reply.

I'm sorry to hear that, @rbalamu2 .  They appear to be a very small company and maybe they are enjoying their summer holidays?  Fingers crossed that they eventually get back to you.
