Per the above release notes image, the wildcard search field (i.e. Quick Search) has been updated to only search on the Summary and Description Fields. Our entire organization has used this field to search out the IssueID for specific Jira Issues. (We tend to move issues across projects so the Key changes often. We've adapted to using a value that doesn't change for a specific issue... IssueID).
Now the only way to search on issue_ID is through the issue filter (text ~ '12345'). Any way to revert that Quick Search textbox back to searching for the text wildcard? Not to mention the "Search /" hover over is no longer accurate, if you enter a '/' before your text, it now includes the slash in your search criteria.

I believe there is no option to revert this Quick Search. I recommend reaching out directly to Atlassian Support for assistance.
As an alternative, you might consider incorporating this field into the summary or description of the issue through automation.
