I have created a Rovo agent to query work items and provide a summary. Due to search limitations within JIRA, the query I have writen for my Rovo agent is lengthy. When I ask the Rovo agent to run the query, it uses about 1/5th of the query provided, which provides no results as the query itself errors out due to being incomplete. How can I better prompt my Rovo Agent to use the query in it's entirety?
Note, I also put the query in the chat window and Rovo ran into the same issue of only using a small portion of the query.
To better udnerstand this can you share:
- The whole JQL query you are using
- Screenshot of the errors

Quick update, I turned the query into a filter and it now pulls back results. For reference, here is my query in case others run into the same issue (note that I am not searching for the exact same consumer group in my query....I replaced that as this is a public forum):
project = "ABC" and ("Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '125' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '124' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '126' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123' OR "Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123'"Consumer Groups" ~ '123') AND createdDate >= endOfDay(-14)
Now the issue I run into is Rovo providing me with all information I am requesting. For example, I have asked Rovo to provide a list of all consumer groups that have an issue created. I have ran the query above and have a list of 115 issues. Here is what Rovo will provide:
Issues created from 5/26/25 - 6/9/25
Consumer Group 123 - 8 MISDs
Consumer Group 134 - 2 MISDs
Consumer Group 156 - 2 MISDs
Consumer Group 987- 2 MISDs
Consumer Group - 25 MISDs
Consumer Group 654 - 1 MISD
Consumer Group 951 - 1 MISD
Is this a Rovo limitation? I have changed the verbaige of the instructions several times and receive the same results.

@Aaron Pavez [ServiceRocket] ,
I ended up turning my query into a filter and that worked for Rovo to pull data. Here is my query for refernce in case others run into a similar issue and need to use a query:
Project = ABC AND ("Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR "Consumer Gp" ~ 123 OR ) AND createdDate >= endOfDay(-14)
Note: I am not searching for the same value in my real query, I replaced that value as this is a public forum.
The issue I am having now is Rovo tells me that the filter generates 115 results, which is what I get when I run the filter on my own. When Rovo generates the report to list each consumer with an issue, it does not call out all consumers and issue. It's only a subset. I have change the instructions several times to try and get the results I am looking for and have not yet. Here is an example of the report:
Issue Summary
Consumer 123 - 5 Issues
Consumer 125 - 2 Issues
Consumer 126 - 6 Issues
Consumer 121 - 1 Issues
Consumer 119 - 3 Issues
Here are instructions:
The summary report includes the number of issues for each consumer group in the last 2 weeks and identifies any trends over the last 3 months.
It is CRITICAL to include ALL consumer groups that has at least one issue created. If 100 issues are in the filter, 100 issues need to be on the Consumer report.
Provide a clear and concise report similar to the provided example, listing all issues, highlighting trends, and providing recommendations based on the data.
Communicate in a casual, work-appropriate, and concise manner while including all necessary details.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi @Tiffany Laborde and welcome to the community!
How does your query look? Is it a JQL or the prompt? Could we have a little bit more detail to understand the situation?
