Hi Community,
I'm on Jira Cloud. And I'm going to make a migration project from Rally to Jira. Before starting the migration, I want to get some suggestions from the community. What's the best approach to migrate from Rally to Jira? Any idea about potential risks?
Thanks,
Yi
Hi @Yi Meng
CSV imports may seem simple, but they come with serious pitfalls that can derail your migration:
If you want a smooth migration with no headaches, OpsHub Migration Manager (OMM) is designed to help teams migrate data with zero business disruption.
It’s easy to set up, resolves conflicts automatically, and ensures your data stays intact—even when things get complex. This means a stress-free move to Jira, without the risks of lost data or costly fixes.
If you need more help with this, I can get you in touch with OpsHub’s migration expert right away. Best of luck with the project!
Hi @Yi Meng , thanks for your question. Please check out some of the other posts about this topic

If you think you will need help, you can also reach out to an Atlassian Partner in your area - https://partnerdirectory.atlassian.com/ . Atlassian partners can specialise in migrations so they would have a lot of experience supporting different types of migrations but of course it depends on your use case, how much to migrate and the configuration of your Jira instance.
Best wishes

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I will go and check those posts. It seems like CSV is the simplest way to migrate data. But I need to check what they want to keep during the migration.
As for the partners, that's a good idea. But I need to check with my manager to see if we have the budget. haha.
Thank you again and have a great day!
