Random character added to Jira comment when replying via email

Everytime I reply to an email a ? mark is added and I have no idea why. I've tried replying as two different users and both times I get the ?

Anyone see this, and why this would add this to the start of the comment?

Can you let us know what email client you're using when this occurs?  Are you able to replicate the issue on various email clients and also a web client?

What version of Jira do you have installed?

Hi Shannon,

After testing, a user that is using the outlook app on this computer is able to add a comment without weird characters appearing, but the other jira users are using the owa.outlook.com web client and that is when the '?' appears when replying via email.

Thank you! Seems like something OWA might be doing on its own.

Can you have a look at that user's resolution and see if it helps?
