Hello!
Context: we are using a Kanban board for which ranking feature is activated - "ORDER BY Rank ASC" in the filter query - "Using Rank" appear properly in board configuration.
Issue: over the last few days I've sometimes been able to move items correctly and classify them within a column, according to their rank, and sometimes I can't do it any more. If this happens, I get an error message telling me that the ranking feature isn't activated even though no one has modified the board configuration and ORDER BY Rank ASC is still in the filter.
It's also happened to some members of my team, but not others. The behaviour then seems random.
Has this ever happened to you?
Is this a bug that has already been reported?
Thanks and have a nice day! Lucas.
If its random and your filter for the board is ordered by rank, this should work.
Are you certain the filter didn't change, and does the board contain issues from multiple projects or a single project?
If its multiple projects, are there issues from team managed projects included in the filter?
Can you provide your boards config and used filter?
Hello Marc,
- The filter did not change, 100% sure.
- The board contains issues from only one project
- The filter used is really simple : project = "MyProject" AND issuetype in (Story, Task) ORDER BY Rank ASC
Swimlanes are based on queries related to labels. The rest of the config remains the one by default, nothing special.
When I said "The behaviour then seems random." I meant sometimes the ranking works (by drag and drop) sometimes it doesn't.
Thanks.
