We have JIRA 5.1.1 with Greenhopper 5.10.6 and I was interested in why the 'pop-up' message tells me that the "plan mode is currently not available on Rapid Boards created for Kanban". The confluence documents show that the 'plan' tag is available with the version of JIRA/Greenhopper.
Hi jleung,
This is only available in Scrum Boards due to the fact that Scrum is mainyl defined as recurring sprints of a defined (short, like 2 weeks) period, while Kanban in contrast to this does not know the idie of "Sprints". Kanban is more like a continuous bord showing all activities for the project.
If you want to use sprint planning you should creat a Scrum board instead. Unfortunately you can not switch your Kanban board to a Scrum board, so you really need to create a new one and delete the old one.
Hope that helps? Cheers, David
