Rapid Board Sprint

Supriya May 29, 2019

I created a Rapid board with 2 Projects ProjectA, ProjectB and then started the sprint Sprint1.

when I go to  ProjectA, ProjectB and look at the backlog, Active Sprints I see Sprint1. Which is good. (Every time I end a sprint and start a new sprint I see it reflected here)

Now I added a new Project to the Rapid Board. ProjectC . Every time I start a sprint it is not getting reflected here. How can I make sure that Sprint1 reflects in projectC as well?

Hello,

From your description it sounds like what is occuring here is an origin board mix up with sprints with the same name, the origin board being the board in which the sprint was originally created. Sprints are not tied to the board directly. They are tied to the issues added to the sprint and will be available across boards if the boards have filters that uses the same issues.

The Sprint is originated in the Cross project board created with Project A and Project B, as Sprint1 then the issues are added to the Sprint in that location for the origin board of the sprint.  Once the issue is added the sprint is added to the independent boards for each project respectively, as the issues are connected to the Sprint from the the alternate origin board.  This will in effect reflect the sprint across all boards in the alternate projects independent boards. If you create a Sprint1 in an alternate project you can get duplicate sprints in each board.

So it sounds like Project C needs to have an issue added to the sprint on the Cross project origin board to be reflected in Project C's independent Board.

Regards,
Earl
