2 sprints with the same name

Our project manager started sprints in different projects and gave different names (for example, Sprint 1 and Sprint 2 in project 1 and in project 2). But there was a problem that the sprints got the same name. When changing the name, the name changes in two projects. Is it possible to solve this problem before the sprints end?

Best practise is to always name your Sprints prefixed with something for this very reason. e.g.

  • Project Name Sprint 1
  • Team Name Sprint 1
  • New Functionality Sprint 1

It is possible there are issues from Project 1 on the Sprint for Project 2?

Change the name on the Sprint for Project 1, then do a Query to list all the issues on both Projects in the active sprints with Sprint being one of your columns

Project in (Project 1, Project 2) AND Sprint in openSprints()

Then can ensure that those issues in Project 1 are actually allocated to the Sprint from Project 1
