When creating bulleted lists in the description of a Jira ticket, the paragraph spacing or bullet spacing of the 2nd sub-level gets messed up when the formatting of the 1st sub-level is changed.

For example, this is how the formatting should look, regardless.

  • This is my primary bullet point
    • This is the first sub level.
      • This is the 2nd sub level

This is how it looks when you change the formatting of the first sub level. This change even happens in the text of this interface.

  • This is my primary bullet point
    • This is the first sub level. I have made these words bold. Now there is more space between this level and the 2nd sub level
      • This is the 2nd sub level

In the Jira ticket, the difference in spacing looks particularly weird because the next 1st sub level bullet ends up being right underneath the previous 2nd sub level bullet.

This bug happens regardless of the type of formatting change in the 2nd sub level. Bold, Italic, emoji, underline, doesn't matter.

This bug also happens with both dot bullets and numbers.

Hi @Josh Johnson welcome to the community.  This sounds like an issue for Atlassian to review.  I took a look on Atlassian's Jira Site and didn't find any similar.  I know there are similar issues with headings.  You could submit a ticket out on there and give the examples you have and then Atlassian developers can review it.

Or, you could have your System Administrator (or you if that's your role) contact Atlassian Support with the specifics and they could weigh in.  I'd agree the spacing should be uniform.  If there is a Jira work item created, feel free to post the number, and I'll vote for it too!

Hope that helps.
