Hi,

we are testing the Advanced Roadmaps right now.

What we hope to get from it is multiple layers/levels in the roadmap view. So that above Epic we could for example have "Product" and above that e.g. "Project" and so on.

Is that possible? And if yes how do i set that up?

Right now i can only see the epic and the tasks. Not even the subtask. Screenshot 2021-07-13 at 15.23.22.png

Hi @Anton Doberschuetz

There's multiple ways in which you can organize the way to manage products, projects and programs. Here are a couple ideas:

  1. Using Jira Software - you can create an Initiatives type to group Epics together, with each Epic being a project and having stories be what you are currently using as Epics. So the hierarchy would be Initiative -> Epic -> Story -> Task -> Sub-tasks. In order to get sub-tasks in, you'd have to create a filter to pull in sub-tasks to your epics, which means when you're creating a Roadmap 'Plan', you'd need to use a filter
  2. Using Advanced Roadmaps - you can create Plans and Programs in Roadmaps. I would create Plans for each individual product or project and then group them together into a Program

It really depends on what you want to do and how you want to present information. We have a blog on getting started with Advanced Roadmaps that gives you some tips on setting things up.

Hope this helps.
