A custom buttom which on click populates form.

When creating an issue in Jira, I have to manually select and check items in the form.

It would be useful if there was a button which when clicked would populate the form with some specific values.

Is this possible?

In my JIRA projects we use  this app: Issue Template (Deviniti). 

It is not a button , in fact it is a dropdown, but it could be useful for your case.
