A user gets "We Couldn't Connect To That Issue" when trying to open issues

alex July 29, 2021

As title, when one of our users tries to open any issue they get a "We Couldn't Connect To That Issue" message instead.  We've done a screenshare and I can see from the URL in chrome that we are both on the same URL but I get to see the issue and they get this message.  They can see previews of issues when entering a search term, but the Issues list is blank to them.

They are set up the same way as other users so I can't see why this is happening?

@alex, you can show a example ?

alex July 29, 2021

Here's a grab from the Issues page.  Searching by issue number seems to show previews which are selectable, but the "Couldn't Connect" message shows for the attempt.  Possibly I need to get more shots from them. image.png

Is there anything else I can show that might help?

Oh sorry, i don't have receive the previous notification.

But the user has the browse project on profile?

You can user the "permission helper" (type G+G and type permission) then use to get the user, issuekey and permission need, this looks like the customer accessing inside the jira.

Hi, sorry I didn't get back sooner myself.

I checked the user with the permission helper and they seem to have every relevant permission.

@alex what occour with me, usually is because:

  • VPN restrictions (kill some data of webpages)
  • Brownser need to update (very common with google chrome)
