Hello I have a question regarding a user management automation that I would like to create. The idea is to link Atlassian with the AD to automatically deactivate user accounts that have occurred. Do you have any experience with this? Kind regards

Hi @Pashk Gjokaj

Welcome.

You can look at Atlassian Guard, see documentation here; configure-saml-single-sign-on-with-an-identity-provider

Or look at Marketplace apps, see near the bottom of this page; https://confluence.atlassian.com/kb/single-sign-on-integration-with-atlassian-products-794495126.html

Hi Pashk,

We're on DataCenter Jira, synchronising with AD using LDAP protocol. As accounts get deactivated, Jira is smart enough to provide a suffix to the user name: [x]. These users are not counted as having active licenses.

As you're on Cloud Jira, things might be different, so I hope that someone with experience in that field can help you further.

Cheers,

Dick
