Cordial saludo ,
It depends on if you had Jira Agile installed. If you have never installed Jira Agile to this instance, then you actually do not need to install Jira Software at all during this upgrade process. Instead you can just use the Jira Core/Jira Service Desk installation packages to update those components.
However if you had Jira Agile installed at one time, then you will need to also update the Jira Software version to a 7.0.x version as well when you update Jira Core to the 7.0.x version.

Hi Milena,
I hope you do not mind if I reply in English. I am afraid my Spanish is not very good. If my meaning is unclear, perhaps using https://translate.google.com might help.
You are correct, it is very important to upgrade Jira Core to 7.0.x version first. Jira Core is the name given in version 7 to what was known as Jira server back in version 6 and earlier versions. Just like Jira Software in version 7 was known only as Jira Agile in earlier versions.
The reason this first upgrade to 7.0.x is so important is because when you complete that upgrade you also need to upgrade the Service Desk plugin to a 3.0.x version as well. There were a lot of changes to Jira 7, so that 7.0.x version is a good step to make sure these older versions can maintain the data correctly. When you are able to install/update the Service Desk 3.0.x version, this is what will upgrade your existing service desk data. I would recommend trying to create a test Service Desk project when Jira is running Core 7.0/Service Desk 3.0.x version. This test version should have queues and a customer accessible customer portal. If you can see those features, then we can be relatively assured that this upgrade has completed.
It is also a good idea to update / install any additional plugins you might use with Jira in this version.
Once that is complete, you can then upgrade jira to the latest versions 7.7.x and the corresponding Jira Service Desk 3.10.x
There are different ways to upgrade Jira explained in Upgrading JIRA Applications. Personally I recommend using the Upgrading Jira applications with a fallback method. This process might require more time and effort to complete, but in my view it offers the highest level of safety in terms of your data.
One way to complete this upgrade is by following these steps:
If possible, update your Jira Server (Core) and Jira Service Desk licenses in your existing system so that you have valid licenses applied now (And Jira Agile/Software if you use this). This makes it much easier to complete the upgrade later on. It is possible to apply the license keys later, but in order to make sure things work the first time on upgrade, it tends to be easier to apply the license keys now. If you do not have access to these, I would recommend generating evaluation licenses from https://my.atlassian.com
-> Jira Core 7.0.x -> Jira Service Desk 3.0.x -> make sure that Service desk works and is licensed (a evaluation license will work for this part) -> Jira Core 7.7.0 -> Jira Service Desk 3.10.0
Additional information on upgrading:
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about this process.
Regards,
Andy
