Add fields to cards, setting option not found

Hi!

I'd like to add some fields to the cards on the sprint board.

I found how to do it here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/customize-cards/

but I can`t find "Layout" option in my board settings - am I missing something?

Hi Alicia,

It looks like you have configured a team-managed project rather than a company-managed project.

The docs you linked to are for company-managed projects, as team-managed projects are lightweight projects and do not support adding custom fields to cards.

You will need to create a company-managed project by following the steps on the Atlassian page located here, to have a board where you can configure the cards.

Hi Alicia! Hope you are having a lovely day. 

I think you are looking at the wrong menu. You should be looking at the Board settings, not the project's!

In the new interface, you can check it out here -> 

At the top right in the older interface you should be able to see the same menu if you are a board administrator :)
