"In version 5.9.1 of GreenHopper, you will be able to add issues to a running Sprint from the Plan mode, so you do not have to strike off the Sprint and create a new one. Cheers, Michael Tokar [Atlassian] "

This is the only feature that stops our Scrum team to start using the Rapid Board for Scrum now.
So, I would like to know when version 5.9.1 will be available?
Also, is there some tricks I can do to overcome this while waiting?
I do not see the Sprint field for example in edit issue mode, where I can just change the current sprint?
We are with Jira 5 and Greenhopper 5.9
Hi Estan,
GreenHopper is released roughly every two weeks. Version 5.9.1 was released last week, you can use the UPM in your JIRA to automatically upgrade it, or download it and manually install it from:
https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugins/com.pyxis.greenhopper.jira
Thanks,
Shaun
I just upgraded, but I still see no way how to add tasks to already a running Sprint.
Coould you please provide step-by-step instructions?

I figured it out.
It seems that it can be done using drag-and-drop in Plan mode. Was not very obvious though.
So far, so good. How do I remove a task from a running Sprint? :)

Hi Shaun,
I'm using the OnDemand version which we installed 2 weeks ago. I believe this is the latest version. It doesnt show up in the footer, but in the System Info it says: GreenHopper - 5.9-xondemand-2

Hi Aygun and Shaun,
Same problem occurs for me trying to dragg item to current sprint. It was working but it seems that I need to set some fields or something to allow dragging .. ??

You need to make sure that the filter used by the Rapid Board has an "ORDER BY RANK" clause for dragging and dropping to work. You can achieve this easily by looking at the configuration for the board, if it does not support ranking you will see a note to that effect and a button to change the filter to allow it to be used for ranking.
Thanks,
Shaun

Hi there,
How did you figure out adding an issue to an active sprint? I have tried drag and drop and it just wont go in. It's driving me crazy. I am administrator, so should have access to do this.

Hi Aygun,
Are you sure you are using GreenHopper 5.9.1 (the version of GreenHopper is shown in the footer at the bottom of the board)? This feature has only just been introduced.
Thanks,
Shaun
