Add linked epic at story creation

Hi,

How can I link an epic to a story, when i'm creating a new story? I don't want to link the story after creation to the Epic or initiate to create the story as a child from the epic window, because I would like to fill in all the fields when the story is created. Creating it from the child only creates the story with a summary.

For NG project the way to do this is to create the The story from the Epic view or the Roadmap view. You cannot link the story to the epic when creating a story otherwise.

Hi @Nick Meijer 

There should be a field called "Epic Link", when you add this field to the create screen of your project, you'll have the possibility to select an existing epic.

After selecting and creating the story, the link is automatically created.

Thanks for your reply! Forgot to mention that i'm using a Next-Gen project. And I can't find the Epic Link option.

I think it's not possible (yet) in next-gen projects to use the approach you describe.

However, there is an open feature request for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17718

I advise adding a vote on the link above so Atlassian sees the demand for this issue.
