Add multiple users to an issue

I would like to add multiple users to an issue..i was able to create a group..however, i still couldn't find a way to add the group to an issue..can someone please give a detailed answer to this..where creating groups, adding these to issues and permissions are concerned..thanks

Maybe a generic user id with an email id that works more like a distribution email list ? You may not be able to mention users individually but I guess a generic with an email id as a distribution list can work as a work around.

JIRA is designed so that issues must be assigned to a single individual to prevent tasks from being overlooked.
