I'm looking to request the functionality of a "sub swim-lane" that Mikkel here was also looking for:
https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/86810/swimlanes-with-swimlanes?page=1#96259
That said, while I can go to Atlassian's own Jira page and see the option of adding a Story/Bug, I'm hesitant to just do so directly since I'm not familiar with the protocol of doing so (what's acceptable/not, what steps should one first take, etc?), and a Google search doesn't give me a good hold on what I should do.
(P.S. I imagine it's the Greenhopper project I want to add this to, but again it could be for something else, would be good to know where to start)
Thanks for the help!
Hi Mate,
We'd welcome the idea of you logging a feature request on https://jira.atlassian.com/ - in fact, that's largely what it's there for.
If you're unsure or think there might be something you've missed, I'd recommend either asking here on Answers, or even contacting Support if you think it's something that should be working but isn't.
Our biggest concern is in fact the other way around - people looking for Support and logging a bug or a feature request.
But so long as you've had a good hunt around and it's definitely not a current feature (and preferably use the search options to ensure there's not already an existing feature request) then we'd welcome you to log features and bugs with us directly.
Regards,
Chris LePetit
Thanks a lot for that Chris, that helps a lot. I'll do a search in the projects to see if something like that has been requested, and will create the feature request if not.

Yes, you want to make the enhancement request on Greenhopper. Go to
https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
and if you do not have an account create one.
Then search the greenhopper project to see if someone already made the request.
If so, vote for the request, otherwise create the enhancement request.
