Adding watcher post function to Jira Cloud

I've found a few working solutions for adding watcher to ticket on a post function for Jira Server. Is this possible for Jira Cloud?

If you want a free solution i guess you could use atlassians autowatcher

Not sure its possible to do it dynamically though, a standard person is definitly possible. 

Other option is Automation but that is a paid plugin
