I logged into Jira (cloud) today to find the default and all custom create and edit screens completely empty. We have a default screen configuration that is shared between a few projects, but many of our projects have custom screens and screen configurations. All of them are completely empty. There are no fields displayed.
How could this have happened? The audit logs don't show updates to screens. Someone could have gone through each screen and removed all of the fields, but this seems unlikely.
I'd suggest you to raise an issue to further investigate this.
This turned to be the fault of one of our admin users. They somehow unchecked all of the fields from each screen from 'View Field Configuration' > 'Screens'. These actions do not show up in the audit logs, so it was hard to track down. I'm really not sure why this person did this. I had a feeling this may have been the result of someone messing with something they shouldn't have, but this took some effort.
