All sub tasks associated with an Epic

JIRA is designed around Epics, User stories and sub-tasks, but I cannot find a way to list all sub-tasks under one Epic without having to add a third-party App. 

Why does not JIRA provide this capability natively ?

Hi Paul,

You can search for all the sub-tasks from a Epic, using the below query:

parentEpic = PROJ-123

It will return all the sub-tasks under the Epic that it's their parent, based on the issue key.
