Allow only users in a group to be associated with a custom user field

I set up a customer field using the select from users field.

However, I only want users from specific groups to be able to be selected.

I've not seen a way to do this in properties or the field definition.

Is it possible in the OnDemand environment?

Nope.This is not possible in onDemand. There are workrounds for this but all those will work only in downloaded version.

Seems like I run into one obstacle after another in trying to setup OnDemand to support our business needs and ensure the integrity of our processes and data.

I submitted a feature request for this..but, not holding my breath.

If you have workaround recommendations, I would appreciate the advice as I'm trying to put a case together for moving away from OnDemand and setting up our own onpremise solution. Thx!
