An issue is not showing in the backlog or a Sprint. It was previously in the backlog.

I find the issue in the All Issues search, but I am not able to post it to a Sprint or place it in the backlog.  Any help would be appreciated.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. In the backlog board, try using a JQL search to find the existing issue and drag it to the sprint.

2. On the issue, add the sprint ID to the field.

3. In the backlog board, create the issue and drag it into a sprint.

4. Check if the issue is in a status that is under 'backlog' in the board configuration.

1. In addition check the Filter query used for your board if that matches all the conditions in the firlter. For example, project = EIP AND status not in (Open) AND "Scrum Team" = "IT" ORDER BY Rank ASC - in this case there are two conditions for the ticket to be visible in the backlog - it has to be in other status but OPEN and it has to be assigned to the "IT" team.

Most likely the ticket does not match the conditions stated in your filter.

2. The ticket was closed? In the case if the ticket was closed it will not be visible in the backlog.
