I'm looking with anyone with information to share about their experience working with the Clearvision ClearQuestion -> JIRA migration tool called Affinity.
Have a look at this document: Data Migration from ClearQuest. It is not very specific but it can give you an idea fo how to aproach the migration.

whew...bit question. Short answer is nope, didn't find any open source tools nor did we use 3rd party software. The changes to process/fields made the transition so difficult we had to resort to live database pulls through the migration - pulls which were inserted into a local Oracle DB the importer read from. Attachments were interesting as well.
We developed several nice utilities out of the project but haven't found anybody that's interested.

Thanks man. I'll give you credit as you actually responded but the linked intel doesn't address what I was looking for.
We (CCC) migrated a fortune 100 company from ClearQuest to JIRA (v4.4.4) last year moving all of their data and implementing new workflow & process. It was a major accomplishment which was very good for all involved. Plus all of the code we wrote was easily migrated to JIRA v5.1.8 in an upgrade they (internal IT) took care of two months after the project ended. Everyone was pleased.

I kept getting alerted to how I'd lose data if I left the page along with a brief flash of the post I'd tried to add - annoying - so I was able to breakpoint the javascript, then disable javascript and view my beleated comment. So with that I've added what I wanted to originally above and WHEW I really wish they were still using the old forums. oh well.

William Did you use any 3rd party software to migrate CQ to Jira? I am working on migrating only CQ contents to Jira and looking for open source tools. It looks like Alex's recommendarion is the only one which suites the best.
Any experience on parsing the CSV data after exporting from CQ. Did't you have any issues with the format of the data? Were you able to map it 1-2-1? Any suggestions would be of great help. Thanks
