Anyone use the Jira Cloud / Slack integration? How do you add required fields to when you create? Looks like only summary and description is available. Is this the case?

@Ian Johnsen I have good news! The Jira + Slack integration now supports creating issues with required fields! Before, you could only add a Summary and Description, but now the integration can dynamically pull in fields from your project/issue type so that you can fill in those required fields straight from Slack.

Give it a try and let us know what you think! Just use /jira create in a Slack conversation.

As a caveat, we have solved for most types of required fields in Jira, but there are still a slight few that are not supported.

Unfortunately, the supported Slack and Jira integration do not have the functionality to create issues with required fields using the /jira create function.

We understand how this lack might impact the usability, that's why we created the following feature request to get this particular functionality improved:

Provide Values for Required Fields Using the "/jira create" command of the Jira Cloud for Slack integration
