- We have Jira and Confluence
Jira Version: 5.1
Confluence Version: 3.5.13 (Note: Because the wiki markup was imporoved we do not intend to update Confluence so far)
- Both are running on the same server with different port.
- Application Link is established (With trusted application, OAuth and BasicAccess) and at least working from Confluence->Jira:
(In Confluence it is possible to link to jira issues and search for them.)
- The URL Pattern in incoming and outgoing is (yes, mixed up for jira and confluence):
/rest
/plugins/servlet/applinks/whoami
/rpc/xmlrpc
/plugins/servlet/streams
/rpc/soap
/secure/RunPortlet
/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest
- Application Links are both to servername and not to IP, so are both base-URLs: http://jira:8080 and http://confluence:8090
PROBLEM:
If we are in a Jira Issue and use link issue -> Confluence Page -> Search for Page there is no connection: No search result will be found anf if we use the search in Space dropdown we do not get any resolt of our spaces.
Note it works from Confluence to Jira!
QUESTION:
What do we have to do / check in order to make the issue linking to confluence pages running?
What information do you need for further investigation or do you have any hint regaring other impacts (networksetting in general)?
Note: I could not find anything helpful in atlassian answers so far ...

Took some time (I forgot about this post communicating with atlassians support) but the resolution was simple:
Our Confluence Version is too low. We are upgrading soon and in the test / evaluation installation it works as desired.
