Are components available in Next-Gen projects?

I'm working with a team developing an app for both Android and iOS.  We are looking for this to be done on a single Jira board, and I know that using Components is a good way to filter between the two platforms.  However, it doesn't look like Components are available on Next-Gen projects.  We're using labels as a workaround, but I would like to verify that I'm not missing a potentially useful feature.

Hi @Glenn Chundrlek ,

Components do not exist in Next-Gen projects. You could add a custom field for them, but it would not behave the same as a component in a Classic project.
