Are there epics when using kanban

Looking for the epics sidebar to add epics when using Kanban.  Does it exist?

Nope. If you must see them, tag issues to Epic from the Edit/Create screen and then create swimlanes based on Epics in the Work Mode.

You could also create both a scrum board and a kanban board for the same JIRA Project and you can manage epic and version directly from the scrum board and the kanban board will populate with the epic tags although when you move an item in a kanban swimlane, the Epic tag is lost from the visualization temporarily for all items in that lane until you refresh your screen.  Weird quirk but I guess since Epics aren't officially supported in Kanban view, then it's not technically a bug.
