Asset Custom Field visible in Plans

We are using Assets to create a mini database of products.  I can see the custom field in Jira software but I cannot add the field in Plans.  Is this a custom field setting (I have added to my project, my screens, my issue types) or a Jira Service asset constraint.

The is currently no option to do this.
