I would like to ask if there is a way to do the following:
The hierarchy of our Issue Types in Jira Work Management is: Epic -> Task -> Subtask.
If you create an Epic Issue in Project A and a Task Issue in Project B.
Can you match the Task Issue of Project B with the Epic Issue of Project A (Project's A Epic Issue -> Project's B Task Issue), using an App or something like that?
The same question could apply if we swap the Epic Issue with a Task Issue of Project A and the Task issue with a subtask issue of Project B.
As I found out Jira Work Management doesn't provide such a functionality and the Link feature doesn't cover our particular need.
While I am not entirely sure what you mean by match and swap, you can connect a task in project B as a child issue to an Epic in project A, as you can see in this screenshot:
As you can also see, the parent field is used to link the issues together.
Sub-tasks - afaik - are always in the same project as their parent task.
Hope this helps!

@Walter Buggenhout has covered all the points which you have mentioned.. but I am curious to know why you are saying " Link feature doesn't cover our particular need." except that you cant link sub-tasks from Project to another.
Cheers

Thank you for your answer @Ajay _view26_
We wanted to use the functionality of the Parent so that we can have a clear view of the hierarchy of some Issues that existed in different projects.
