Assign an issue to the last user to update it.

The workflow I have created has an add clarification option so the developer can ask the reporter for more details. There is already functionality to assign the issue back to the reporter, so the developer does not need to know who the reporter is. There is not any (that I can find) functionality available to automatically assign the issue back to the developer asking for clarification.

I am looking for a function to assign the issue back to the last user who commented on it, is it available can anyone help.

Bump.   Did anyone ever get an answer to this?   I have a similar/identical problem:

I have a pool of business analysts (product owner) and a pool of developers.   Right now I assign the head BA to new problems and they assign a BA for that issue manually.   Likewise on the transition out of BA-land (out of the backlog) to development the lead developer is auto assigned - and she will manually assign it to a developer.   Once the head BA assigns the BA and once the lead developer assign a developer under her I only want the assigned BA and assigned developer to trade back and forth from backlog  (needs more info) to dev and back again.  

Something like the above - a 'latest assignee' (before the current) would work as the pair trade back and forth.    What I don't want is the auto-assign to kickin and reassign to the lead developer and head BA all the time once it has been doled out!  That's what happens now as the story transitions back and forth from developer to product owner.   The leads have to keep manually reassigning it after every transition!

A worfklow function that assigns the current issue to the latest Assignee (excluding the current one) who is a member of the specified project role

Add the above post-function at the needed transitions in the workflow.

I do not see/ have the Latest Assignee option, I only have assign to: current/ lead or Reporter. Is this another function that did not make it onto the the cloud version from the server version?
