Assign ticket to a specific user by default - not the admin

Hi there,

 

Just wondering how can I create a filter in a project, which based on a component- ticket goes straight to one user - not the project admin. Usually all tickets assigned under project - Business  - goes to project Admin first.

 

I would like a ticket based on component : " NEW CLIENTS" goes to a specific user - not the admin

In the Components screen for the project you should be able to edit the Component and then specify an individual as the Component Lead. Then you can set the Default Assignee for that Component to "Component Lead"

As @Trudy Claspill you should look at the settings for your Components. You might like to refer to the documentation at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/organize-work-with-components/ for how to make use of components in a project effectively.
