Assigned people not showing on all cards

I have assigned tasks for team members, but even for me, it is not showing in the card. For example if I create a task and self assign it, it doesn't show on the board. And it is random, some cards shows the assigned person, some don't. And this causes trouble while filtering, because not all cards are visible. 

How can I fix to show assigned people on al cards? Thanks!

Are you able to provide screenshots? On cards, you will not see the name of the assignee. You will only see the user avatar. You can hover over that and see the name. 

Does your board have tickets from multiple Jira projects? Another reason could be that you do not have the access needed to assign tickets from other Jira projects.
