Atlas Project Overview Status doesn't always display on cards

Hi.  I have an interesting situation.  I've created an epic Kanban board, and I've set up an appropriate filter to display only the 30 or so epics associated to a particular initiative.  I am using Atlas to track the status of each of the epics, and I have the Project Overview Status field displayed on the cards, along with Labels and Target Date (a bit redundant since Atlas maintains this information as well, but this way I can see the target date on the cards).

In Atlas, I have updated the status on two of the epics; one is currently On track, and the other is Completed.  Within Atlas, I can see both statuses properly displayed, along with my target dates, my latest update, etc.  It all appears correct to me.  However, the one epic I have which is On Track displays On track on the epic card on the Kanban board, but the completed epic does not display Completed on the card on the Kanban board.

I have also found that if I create a new project for the epic within Atlas, but I don't provide an update, the status of the Atlas project overview is set to Pending.  This status does not show up on the cards either.

I've reviewed my contents/settings for the status for the Completed epic and it all looks correct to me.  I'm not quite sure what to think, and I'm certainly not thrilled with this inconsistency in behavior for Atlas.  Does anyone have any idea why this isn't displaying on my cards?

If anyone has any ideas, please chime in... I'm about to open a service ticket on this issue.
