We have Jira DC connected to an LDAP. In this LDAP we have the necessary roles for the company. Sometimes, these roles suffer name changes; when this happens the permission and security schemes of the Jira projects are wrong. Changing them manually is very cumbersome as we are a 2500 employees company with a lot of roles, with a very large Jira instance with many permission schemes. I see this is translated, and the translation says "roles" but LDAP only affects "groups" in Jira, which are typically mapped from Windows groups. Someone should have a look at your LDAP configuration and make sure attributes and other items are set correctly. 

If the actual domain groups are being renamed frequently, a few suggestions:

1. Make sure all your Jira permission schemes reference project *roles* only so that schemes don't have to be changed.
2. Change the LDAP mapping to bring in only a subset of groups instead of thousands - at my last firm, there were Windows groups in a certain OU starting with "JR-**" to show those were important to Jira. 
3. Make friends with the Windows/domain team and be sure they have Jira as a dependency when the make changes, so you can be notified.
4. Over time, work on reducing the number of permission schemes and standardizing and documenting permissions. If schemes are role-based, you shouldn't need more than a dozen or so, even in a large org.
