Automatic status updates in Jira

Is there a way that Jira can automatically update the status of an issue from, say, "Doing" to "Done" when a set of pre-defined tasks have been completed?

  Check Automation for JIRA: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215460/automation-for-jira it provides a lot of pre-canned behaviors you can use. If the logic behind those tasks are complex, you should try to use ScriptRunner: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/6820/scriptrunner-for-jira or BPS: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219949/business-process-studio-for-jira and write a script that makes those changes automatically for you.
