Hi,
I thought this would be obvious, but am struggling here.
I'd like to create an automation that, at creation and matching a certain criteria, it links the newly created issue to a specific, already existing, Jira issue.
Looking at the Link Issues action, I can't see that as an option.
Am I missing something fundamental here?
Thanks,
Jon C
Hey Jon,
Using this action you can easily link issues, simply select the link type and the issue to link. You can use the options in the issue drop down, enter an issue key into the drop down for a specific issue or enter a smart value into the drop down for those advanced use cases

Thanks Ralf. Face meets palm moment for me here....!

@Jonathan Cunliffe it looks how I would build it, except that I use the Edit Issue action to add the Link rather than the Link Issue Action, but I would be surprised if this is your problem. Could you share the audit logs after you create an issue with Priority = P1 so we can see how it is evaluating your issues?

Hi David,
Sorry, it's late in the day for me and I've just realised my truly stupid mistake....! When I saw 'Trigger Issue' in the drop down, I thought that's the issue that has triggered the Automation, not that it was an editable field that allowed me to enter a Jira#....!
I'll get my coat.....!
Cheers,
Jon C
