Automation editing fields even if it doesn't meet the conditions

Hi ,

So I have a automation running that basically rolls up story points from stories to parent epic. The issue is even though the epic doesn't have any child stories still it populates some random SP value. Also in the audit log , I see no action performed on that issue. And on that epic, there no trail in the history that the automation populated SP. I am confused from where it is picking it up

Hello @Omkar Rajale 

If the history in the issue does not record a change to the Story point field, that would suggest the field was set when the Epic was created. Fields populated during issue creation are not recorded in the issue history.

As @Trudy Claspill mentions this should have happen on creation.

Can you check the context of the field Story Points is there a default value set?
