Automation of Start and end dates of Sub-Task starting from parent tasks´ due date

Hi Community, 

On the way of automating my board, I have been trying one thing that is for now not working yet but am sure the issue is in a small detail.

In short, I have Issues with Issuetype "Task". I want to automate: 

• Using a manual trigger:
  • Create 1 Sub-task
  • For that Sub-task, take the value of the "Due Date" of the parent task and set:
    • Start date Sub-Task = Parent Task Due Date - 5 Business days
    • End date Sub-Task = Parent Task Due Date - 9 Business days

Is anyone able to help out?

Thanks for your Reply. Good point, here´s a screenshot of what I have right now. 

Unfortunately, it does not work yet and returns nothing, something is wrong. 

The documentation always states "now" as for today as reference. I would like to take as reference the Due Date from the parent task and then calculate with MinusBusinessdays.

Anyone can spot the mistake?

For a question like this, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected.  Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas.  Thanks!

What you describe is possible using the date time functions, specifically including the function plusBusinessDays().  Please look at this documentation to learn more:
