Automation of assignee in JIRA cloud

Hi Team,

I am using JIRA Cloud. I am trying to implement Auto assignee for certain issue types in JIRA. When i did a small research i see, it can be done only in JIRA Service Desk, But i cant find any update for JIRA cloud.

Can you anyone help me on this.

You can add the Update Issue post function for the required transition and set the Assignee field in this post function.

Hi,

In JIRA Software, you have several possibilities:

• If you have a workflow that impact only your issue type you can use @Alexey Matveev solution.
• If you have the same workflow for all your issue types, you could try the component feature with auto-assign lead component 
• You could also use a script if you have an addon like ScriptRunner for Jira
